Attorney for Early Termination of Probation
I am one of the few local attorneys who does not shy away from helping people with Motions for Early Termination of Probation.
Being on probation or community control can be difficult. Your freedoms and liberty are compromised and you are counting the days until you can get your life back.
If you are eligible for your probation to be terminated early, then you should be wasting no time in getting that issue resolved. Every day you are on probation is a chance, even if it is a small one, that you could be violated and taken to jail. If you have completed all your conditions of probation and are paid up on your costs and fees, and have completed more than half of the probationary term, you may be able to terminate.
***Please note—some counties (like Okaloosa County for example) have policies where early termination is more limited or require the defendant to serve 2/3rds or the probationary sentence before being eligible.
If successful, you will not only be off of probation or community control, but you will be able to avoid additional cost of supervision fees. In some cases, that could be worth hundreds of dollars.
Call Lupella & Rehr to discuss your issue in Okaloosa, Walton, or Santa Rosa Counties, and whether or not you may be eligible for an early termination of probation or early termination of community control. If you qualify, your criminal defense attorney can start the process by filing a Motion to Terminate Supervision Early and setting that Motion for a hearing in the appropriate County (misdemeanor) or Circuit (Felony) Court. 850-362-6655
